Topshop Beach look.

Pinterest.com,. N.p., 2015. Web. 1 May 2015.
For my high beach look I have been inspired by Topshops previous summer look 'sandstorm' a messy beach look, it is more fun and creative, It looks almost looks as though its festival meets beach.

"Inspired by the colourful and spiritual ‘Burning Man’ festival in the Nevada desert, this makeup collection features a palate of sorbet shades which contrasts with metallic and neon tones to create a versatile collection that suits women of different styles. The eyeshadow and cheek duos conjure images of a glowing sunset nestled on a faraway horizon."

The collection consisted of metallic and bronzed shades to give off that bronzed goddess look. The collection is popping with colour to interpret how the consumer wishes to create their perfect summer look that is affordable.

Topshops previous collection also consisted of dark smudged eyes and messy beach hair. Their collection was inspired by the beach and also partying in the sun.

I am really looking forward to creating this look particularly as I get to be more creative with the look and have a really clear idea of what I would like to create.

When creating a beach look for Topshop all I can visualise is messy hair, grunge eyes and bronzed skin as if they have been in the sun all day on an exotic beach. I want my model to look as though she has just awoken from a night of partying. I feel this idea suits the brand well as the brand are playful with their makeup, and tend to cater to a large audience and who doesn't like a beach party?

My look is influenced by summer party girls. The smudged liner from the heat, bronzed skin from sleeping their hangovers off in the sun and the messy waves from the salt water.

After seeing Bella Donnas SS15 Beach wear collection I feel s inspired by the dramatic dark eyes I love how they are neatly smudged under the eyes to create a care free sort of look. Considering I want my design to look as though my model has just woken up on a beach in Thailand after a night of partying my design will not be as neat as that. However I love how it is overly smudged under the eyes.

My design is inspired by beautiful weather, locations and of course summer parties. This advertisement creates the sort of sultry mood I want to create.

Google.co.uk,. 'Summer Pinterest - Google Search'. N.p., 2015. Web. 4 May 2015.

These images capture the kind of atmosphere I want the consumer to visualize the makeup look on them when they go on holiday, heavy lner, bronzed skin and messy hair. The look is supposed to have a fun, sultry look to it that creates the vision of a fun, sexy , party girl.

Overall mood.

This mood board is the overall feel I want to create. I want my model to look as though she has just woken up on the beach, but in a grunge, glamorous way.

Makeup and hair inspiration.

For the hair and makeup I want it to look messy yet sexy. Bronzed skin, smudged black liner, glossy lips and salty waves. I would like the lighting to be dark to create a grunge, 'sexy' type of look, as if they have been washed up onto the sea, but in Topshop style.

Hair.

For the hair I want it to look as though they have been in sea and the hair is drying so messy damp waves perhaps over the face to look as though the model has just woken up, or as if she has been dancing.
To create this look I will be using sea salt water, a water sprayer and a hair dryer. To begin with I just wet the hair with the sprayer so it was fairly damp,  then scrunched in sea salt water and blew dry the hair fr a few minutes so it looks damp.

I have chosen this style as it will also be easy to create if the Topshop customer wanted t re-create the look it would not be hard.

Inspired by the Topshop summer party girl look, I have created a messy dark eye and nude gloss lip with bronzed skin. This look was fun to create and unlike the other looks is more playful and does not have to perfect. My model I have specifically picked as I feel she has exotic look to her and has that beach bronzed skin that I am looking for. Whilst doing my photoshoot I need to make sure I place the liner and shadow in places around the eye not will not make the eye look as though it is drooping.

Final Look.

This design is a smudged dark eye, with bronzed skin and  a glossy nude lip. It is designed for the girls of summer who love to party. The look is for the fun, outgoing Topshop girl, it shows off their sultry side. The Topshop beach girl shows her wild side when on holiday this is conveyed through her hair and makeup.

Topshop Evening Look.

Uk.pinterest.com,. N.p., 2015. Web. 29 Apr. 2015.
Looking at many seasons it is clear to see that a red lip is timeless, Topshop portray a high fashion, high street look, therefore I looked at high fashion red lip looks to get some inspiration for my take on a Topshop red lip evening look.

Uk.pinterest.com,. N.p., 2015. Web. 29 Apr. 2015.

I love this matte brugundy red lip by Yulia Saparniiazova from AW14 catwalk, I love the contrast of the neutral eyes and the fresh dewy skin. It looks extremely high fashion yet wearable at the same time, however I do not feel as though this is wearable for any face as I feel to pull off makeup like this you must have amazing skin naturally this a look that works with the models natural features incredible skin and lips.

Topshop provide a range of products that can help achieve this look. Newly launched eye creams in nude colours would look perfect for a neutral glossy eye, teamed with their velvet red lip tint for a matte precise look to look fresh off the runway. The look costing £16 in total is considerably cheap.

Uk.pinterest.com,. N.p., 2015. Web. 29 Apr. 2015.

How beautiful is this red glossy lip created for the Phillip Lim runway AW15, I was actually surprised that it was not Topshop it has a very young, natural beauty to it that I can imagine the typical fashionista Topshop girl wearing.

Topshops evening looks seem to be exactly how I'd visualise them clean, simple with a bold textured lip.For my design I am going for a chic, sophisticated, glamour look that will reflect Topshop's evening wear and makeup collection. Opting for a natural base, neutral soft eyes, and glossy red lips.

Looking at Topshop's advertisements there seems to be a trend occurring flawless skin and a bold red matte or glossy lip, with messy or sleek hair. The evening Topshop girl is classy, youthful and a natural beauty with a wild side.

Look,. 'The New Feel-Good Red Lipstick Coming Your Way Soon'. N.p., 2014. Web. 13 Mar. 2015.

When looking at Topshop advertisements and catwalk shows the majority of the evening outfits are paired with a red lip and  neutral eye creating a bold and classic look. The skin as always with Topshop is natural looking with a mixture of finishes.

My evening look I want to be elegant, simple yet striking, so the customers can re-create the look to match their favorite Topshop dress for the party season.

Design process.

The color of the red is important as it defines what season is it, a warmer red is usually associated with spring/summer, whereas a cool tone indicates Autumn/Winter. When thinking of designs I will consider the season I would want my image to be displayed in.

This is an image of Topshops ultimate party season must haves a classic red lip, long lashes and penciled eyes. So from this I can get a gist that the eyes should be kept simple.

Thedepartmentofnews.com,. 'Topshop Makeup – Party Season'. N.p., 2015. Web. 12 Apr. 2015.
Now I know what I am going to do I can now begin to design for Winter makeup advertisement.

Testing shades of Red.

Rio Rio is a warmer red colour from Topshop, I love this colour it has warm undertone to it complimenting warmer skin tones for only £8 at surprising quality you cannot go wrong.

Ladydanger MAC is a orange red that is amazing for the summer and spring seasons I feel this colour is more dense than Topshops Rio Rio but has a similar undertone creating a similar outcome.
MAC Chilli looks beautiful on all skin tones specifically pale ones although I feel as though this colour does not really say evening it is more of a daytime red that does not make a statement.

After feeling inspired from evening dresses and accessories I have decided to try a more rich red with a glossy texture like seen on Phillip Lim latest look, except more of a classic red.

Hair.

Slicked back hair is an ongoing trend that I feel would fit my high fashion party look well I love Giambattista Valli  version of the hair with the wavy ends, but also love the classic sleek look.

To create this look I used straighteners, hair serum and a tiny bit of hair gel as I did not want the hair to look too wet, I want it to look wearable. I feel this look will compliment the makeup well.

Facechart.

Moodboards.

My overall theme is going to be recreating a classic look for the party season. This moodboard explains my inspiration from accessories that remind me of the party season, red speaks a thousand words, it says confident, beautiful and glamourous which is the overall look I want to create.
Trials and face charts.

This moodboard is my makeup and hair inspiration simple, yet striking, I feel the colour red adds a twist to the androgynous slicked back hair, I love the contrast of a neutral eye against a striking lip.

For this look I wanted to keep the eyes nuetral inspired by  Yulia Saparniiazova from AW14 catwalk and Topshops beauty advertisements, I used a warm toned glossy lip shade to make the lips the main focal point. I chose to keep the skin dewy as I feel this works well with the eyes and the lips. I like the look of the matte warm eyeshadow and feel it mirrors Topshops look well.

Evening makeup.

For this look I have opted for a matte neutral eye, natural brushed brows, highlighted natural dewy skin and a warm glossy red lip. Inspired by ongoing high fashion catwalk trends that can be worn as an evening look. I have chosen this look as I feel Topshop are very much high fashion this should be shown not just through fashion and styling but also communicated through the makeup and hair.

Unfortunately I was not happy with these images as I feel they do not suit my brand. I am not happy with the styling, lighting or makeup. I also feel as though my model does not portray my brands image. Therefore I have chosen to re-shoot taking into consideration. I feel as though the back drop colour is not working well with my evening theme.

Final face chart and images.

After changing my look I have opted for a darker more dense look, and a rich gold shimmer eye as I think this is more party seasonal and is not too similar to my day look.

The Topshop evening girl always looks striking, and is on trend with her hair and makeup not just her clothing. She turns heads with her rich lips and metallic eyes that compliment her dress well. The makeup has been designed specifically for the winter party season a look that can be teamed with a sparkly swing dress of tailored classic black dress, she is likely to be spotted in a high end bar with a glass of champagne in her hand.

For this look I have decided tp change more elements of the makeup due to the change of model. I have opted for a cooler red to compliment her fair skin tone and a dense shimmer gold eye as I felt this would suit model better and also conveys more of a party feel to it. The hair is also straight at the bottom instead of wavy as again I felt this was more suited to the evening look.

I am happy with the outcome of these images I feel the model is more suited to the brand. I feel the black backdrop works better for an evening look, the advertisement could be used to promote a lipstick and eye shadow.

Day Look moodboard & photoshoot.

Overall moodboard.

The overall feel for my makeup look is very much inspired by the English rose look, extremely natural, just enhancing my models best facial features with a pinch of colour on the cheeks as if she is blushing naturally. I want the look to be sweet and simple, hence why the strawberries have been a source of inspiration not only the colouring but the taste.

Makeup and hair moodboard.

For the makeup I have decided I want the skin to be extremely natural yet almost flawless looking, with just a pinch of colour in the cheeks to give that youthful beauty look. After careful consideration of my model of which I felt suited my brand perfectly. Topshop models are known for their flawless skin, and amazing brows this is what I wanted to showcase when creating my daytime look. I wanted a model with blue eyes as I feel a simple warm eye really makes them pop effortlessly; to round off the makeup I opted for a peachy nude lipstick of which I felt teamed well with the blush and eye makeup.

For the hair I wanted to create a messy bun, as I feel it would suit well with their basic daytime look, or even a nice twist on a detailed outfit.

I have created a natural dewy base pinched rose cheeks and a soft contour with a warm eye and nude peach lip. I chose this makeup look as I feel it reflects Topshop as a brand it is simple and very natural looking it would suit any girl and is easy to pull off. The look is inspired by fresh beauty not only faces but fresh fruits, flowers and colours. I like this look and feel it will suit my model well.

For the hair I wanted a messy bun as I feel this suits the brand well it is a classic hairstyle associated with those lazy days, no makeup and messy hair with a baggy jumper and some skinny jeans.
The daytime Topshop girl is a natural beauty she is not scared to get her hair messy or lipstick smudged, you will find her indulging in a book in a coffee shop on monday mornings, she is sophisticated and a natural beauty that can pull off any outfit with this neutral look.

Product list:
Base:illamasqua Satin primer.
Foundation:Kroylan cream pallete shades 1&2.
Contour:Illamasqua Disobey.
Blusher:Rosewood Kroylan.
Eyes:Warm almond MAC
Brows:MAC Spiked.
Mascara:Urban Decay.
Lips:each Kroylan

I feel as though I scouted my model for the look well as I feel as though her face really suits the brand with those dark 'Cara' brows. Overall I was happy with the outcome of the images and did not have to edit them much, as luckily she had really good skin. Although I feel as though I should've blended in the makeup onto her chest as there is a colour difference. I can visualize this image in Topshops magazine.
